Jackie Monahan

Comedian Jackie Monahan says she’s had great experiences being an out comic, appearing on Olivia cruises, at Pride events and on LOGO’sOne Night Stand Up. She says, “I have encountered the most support from lesbian comedians. I find the camaraderie extraordinary!” In 2008, she was nominated for ECNY’s “Best Female Standup Comedian” award and received the “Joke of the Year” honor from Time Out New York. The hilarious and often disarming comedian says audience members sometimes don't believe she’s gay. “I will come off stage and be asked ‘You're not really a lesbian, are you? You just do it for the act?’ But then they see my girlfriend and they realize, yes, I am a lesbian!” –CB

Drug Bingo New Show Premieres, Saturday October 24th at 9pm Jackie O'Nasty (Jackie Monahan from Logo's One Night Stand Up) and Shawn F.U. Kennedy (Shawn Hollenbach from here! TV's Hot Gay Comics) have taken a break from their whirlwind tour to bring their tip bucket to Ochi's Lounge at Comix. Are you looking for a (kine) bud? What to hang out with a super (white) lady?
